CONCRETE WATERPROOFING PROTECTION

concrete waterproofing

Concrete waterproofing can stop water from infiltrating your basement. It should be noted that it’s not only running water can cause damage to your foundation – moisture penetrating the concrete can cause damage as well. Dampness in basements and crawlspaces can also breed mold and attract insects, and make your basement or crawlspaces areas unpleasant overall.

Typical concrete is not waterproof. Although concrete that is not cracked will typically keep out liquid water, moisture can still easily penetrate the material. Concrete waterproofing treatments can prevent moisture from moving through the wall, and can also help route water to drains.

Any foundation surface area that has earth on one side and usable space on the other should be treated. Main Line Waterproofing can examine your basement and crawlspaces to determine which walls and/or floors should be included in the concrete waterproofing plan, and determine if any other remediation methods are needed to rectify your basement issues.
